RENN Asia Wellness Celebrates National Day & Malaysia Day by Offering RM380,000 in Free Health Screenings to 1,000 Seniors
Crafted by: Jonathan Chew
In conjunction with this year’s National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations, RENN Asia Wellness is giving back to the nation by sponsoring 1,000 health screenings and physical therapy sessions worth a total of RM380,000 for Malaysian senior citizens.
This initiative, part of the Hari Kebangsaan Hari Malaysia (HKHM) 2025 celebrations, reflects our ongoing commitment to promoting preventive healthcare and healthier aging among Malaysians.
A Gift of Health for Senior Citizens
The programme is open to Malaysians born between 31 August 1957 until 16 September 1963. Eligible seniors can walk in or register at our centre to receive the free services, with no purchase required.
Each participant will undergo:
- Arterial stiffness and central blood pressure assessment using AtCor SphygmoCor technology – a non-invasive test that provides an early snapshot of heart health.
- Andullation Therapy session – a therapeutic treatment using vibration and heat to improve circulation, relieve muscle pain, and support better sleep.
These services are specially curated to address the growing risk of cardiovascular and age-related conditions in Malaysia’s elderly population.
Prevention is better than Cure
“At RENN Asia Wellness, we believe prevention is always better than cure. Senior citizens are a high-risk group for non-communicable diseases such as heart disease and stroke due to age, lifestyle, and health status. Yet many remain unaware of these silent killers until it is too late,” said Jonathan Chew, Founder and CEO of RENN Asia Wellness.
He highlighted that arterial stiffness is a critical risk factor for cardiovascular disease:
- It increases the likelihood of high blood pressure, which in turn accelerates arterial stiffening – a dangerous cycle leading to heart complications.
- Beyond heart disease, arterial stiffness has also been linked to memory loss and dementia as people age.
“Treating a heart attack is far more costly than preventing it. By offering these screenings, we hope to help seniors detect early signs before complications arise, reducing long-term healthcare costs not only for families but also for the nation,” Chew added.
Supporting Malaysia’s Ageing Population
Malaysia is projected to become an ageing nation by 2048, with more seniors requiring advanced and accessible healthcare. In 2024 alone:
- Ischaemic heart disease was the second-highest cause of death, accounting for 15.1% of total deaths.
- Cardiovascular disease (CVD) contributed to 23.3% of deaths nationwide.
These figures underline the urgent need for preventive health programmes. By aligning with the core values of HKHM 2025 – particularly rakyat disantuni (caring for the people) – RENN Asia Wellness aims to make advanced wellness technologies available to the public at no cost during this campaign.
Our Commitment & Care
This programme runs until 30 September 2025 and represents only one part of our larger mission: to make personalised, evidence-based regenerative and functional medicine accessible to Malaysians of all ages.
“As we celebrate National Day and Malaysia Day, let us remember that caring for our seniors is part of caring for the nation. Prevention starts with early checks, and RENN Asia Wellness is proud to provide this opportunity for 1,000 seniors under the HKHM umbrella this year,” said Chew.
